Author and retired New Orleans firefighter Robert Medina will be signing copies of his book, "If You Can't Stand the Heat...A New Orleans Firefighter's Cookbook" at Barnes & Noble Eastern Shore on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 1:00-3:00pm. This event will feature a tasting of one of his firehouse recipes - Smoked Chicken, Duck and Andouille Gumbo - while quantities last. A portion of the proceeds from each copy of this book sold will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
